Bar & Grill

“Consistently the best restaurant in the village, deservedly popular.” The Rough Guide To Belize by Peter Eltringham.

When in Placencia Village, drop by the Pickled Parrot Bar &

Grill for good food, ice cold Belikin beer, tropical blender drinks and a great place to meet other travelers.

Specialties of the house are fresh seafood; homemade pizza; quesadillas; fajitas, burgers and salads. Everything is made to order with the freshest ingredients and served by friendly staff.

“Mango Rum Chicken”and "Parrot Burger" (stuffed with blue cheese) and Coconut Shrimp are some of the  popular dishes and don’t miss out on a “Belizean Breeze” or the infamous “Parrot Piss” from the bar. Happy Hour is from 5 - 6 p.m. daily with $1.50 Rum Drinks.

This is a great spot to cool off after a trip or a beach walk or to get information on trips and to pick up a copy of the Placencia Breeze Newspaper.

Daily visits by iguanas and hummingbirds are just part of the entertainment.

The restaurant is open Monday - Friday (noon -8pm) , Saturday noon - 3pm and Sundays 4pm - 9pm. The Ten 'Dalla' Lunches ( US$5 ) are very popular. Mondays are rice bowls,  Tuesday Tacos, Wednesday is pizza slices and Fridays are Fish and Chips - check the board for all other days.
