The Pickled
Parrot is located in the heart of Placencia Village at the tip of a
14 mile peninsula of sandy
beaches and palm trees. Placencia is only 35 minutes by air from
Belize City.
When staying at the Pickled Parrot, you are only a few
minutes walk to all amenities. Just 300 yards from the sea - this is
the best swimming area in the village. Markets, banks, post office,
gift shops and restaurants are just a short walk down the world
famous "sidewalk" .
This small resort is surround by palm trees, hibiscus,
bougainvillea and many other tropical flowers with daily visits from
iguanas, hummingbirds and a rainbow of butterflies. It's the
perfect choice for a relaxing getaway with a choice of many
activities to choose from or just the peace and quiet of swinging in
your hammock.

When in
Placencia Village, drop by the Pickled Parrot Bar & Grill for good
food, ice cold Belikin beer, tropical blender drinks and a great
place to meet other travelers.
Specialties of the house are fresh seafood; homemade
pizza; quesadillas; fajitas, burgers and salads. Everything is made
to order with the freshest ingredients and served by friendly staff.
“Mango Rum Chicken”
is one of the popular dishes and don’t miss out on a
“Belizean Breeze” or the infamous
“Parrot Piss” from the bar.
Happy Hour is from 5 - 6 p.m. daily with $1 Tropical Rum Punch.
This is a great spot to cool off after a trip or a
beach walk, under a thatch roof or to get information on trips and
to pick up a copy of the
Placencia Breeze Newspaper.
Daily visits by iguanas and hummingbirds are just part
of the entertainment.

Canadian owner, Wende Bryan, has lived in Belize for 12
years. After a long drive from Vancouver, BC, she purchased the land
and built the “Pickled Parrot”. Very active in the Belize Tourism
Industry and the community; Wende has made Belize her home. Her
sister, Denise Williams, is the manager of the Pickled Parrot and
her father (from Port Colborne, Ontario). Denis Bryan, is the artist
of the paintings that decorate her small resort.
