The Pickled Parrot is located in the heart of Placencia Village at the tip of a 14 mile peninsula of sandy beaches and palm trees. Placencia is only 35 minutes by air from Belize City and 5 minutes from the Placencia Airstrip. The Placencia road is now paved to Maya Beach making travel by car much easier. When staying at the Pickled Parrot, you are only a few minutes walk to all amenities. Just 300 yards from the sea - this is the best swimming area in the village. Markets, banks, gift shops and restaurants are just a short walk down the world famous "sidewalk" . The Parrot now has a sidewalk from the road making it easier to get to.
This small resort is surround by palm trees, hibiscus, bougainvillea and many other tropical flowers with daily visits from iguanas, hummingbirds and a rainbow of butterflies. It's the perfect choice for a relaxing getaway with a choice of many activities to choose from or just the peace and quiet of swinging in your hammock.
We have two rental cabanas with rates of US$40 a night starting December 1st - there are weekly and monthly rates also. The hardwood cabanas have a fridge, cable TV, hot and cold private bath, queen size bed, fans and a balcony surrounded by a tropical garden. |
